Consumer choice should drive the market. Fine, provide ‘incentives’ but outright ‘banning’ shouldn’t be authorized. The technology isn’t ready and there’s no proof it’ll ‘save the planet’ either. The ‘carbon footprint’ is huge day 1.
The World Nuclear Association is having its first general meeting this year. Their mission is to educate and lobby on behalf of the nuclear reactor industry worldwide, which already has multiple commitments to build small reactors for power generation in many underdeveloped African countries.
Increasing power demand in the USA and EU is making small reactors more attractive each year.
