Highly unlikely, because the necessity to attack with shovels is not even remotely necessary, because the Russians own their positions, while the Ukrainians are protecting their positions.

Post 2 above points out that it has been a mistake for the Ukrainians to not gear up to manufacture their own ordnance and weapons. I agree with that.

Begging is not a viable military strategy, IMHO.
