There is no one quite as progressive as an “LLR”. Every political news site that allows comments has at least one. No matter the subject under discussion, they preface their comments with “As a LLR, I could never vote for Trump again and to conserve conservatism I’ll vote for Biden this fall as I cast my first Democrat vote ever”.

I can’t begin to count the number of times I’ve caught democrats in that “I’m a lifelong Republican” lie.
I am reminded of one example back when McCain was running for the Presidency against Obama in 2008. I was a member of a now long gone political message board.
I dont recall what the topic was about, but in a comment one woman said how she was a lifelong republican and solidly in the McCain camp up until the day McCain announced Sarah Palin as his running mate. It was then and there she switched over to the Obama camp, so she claimed.
I was a little bit suspicious about her claim. So, I looked up her posting history. Sure enough, many, many times she expressed her support for Obama and her intention to vote for Obama in comments that were dated long before McCain made his VP pick. Indeed, some were dated before McCain himself won the nomination.
In a reply to her comment, I posted my findings, complete with links back to several of her old Obama supporting comments. Being exposed for the liar she was, she didn’t reply. She didnt say anything. But she did put a block on me, which did nothing except prevented me from looking up her post history. I could still read and respond to her comments on the board.
