Certain Kias and Hyundais are wired by using a simple USB connection and there are videos showing how simple and fast it is. literally seconds and they’re gone. Kia and Hyundai are being sued over this. Also insurance rates on them are going skyward.

The issue is that the ignition switch lock is poorly guarded from tampering and the engine does not have a key chip immobilizer. One breaks out the lock and the electrical part of the ignition switch has a rectangular hole that can be turned with a USB cable or a million other objects.
