Watching the video, to me, it seemed that the ship stopped it's forward motion, as if it was in reverse, but then, the ship started moving toward the bridge and hit the support, causing the complete collapse of that part of the bridge. -------------Reference for Scale

From the looks of THAT, I’m surprised a damaging collision didn’t occur sooner. A frontal pic would be good in addition. No deflecting structure? Yikes.
