Ship was involved in something 2016

Was there a power outage on the Ship just prior to it veering into the Bridge? It looked like all the lights went out, then when they came back on, there was black smoke above the ship consistent with the return of power and the effort to correct the direction of the ship.
Yet, now they claim accident without knowing why the power was out on the Ship.
This is consistent with a computer hack shutting down or redirecting the steering on the Ship.
We need to check this out.
Is it retaliation for the attack in Moscow? One wonders, but of course has no evidence...
According to an official press conference in Baltimore, there were 2 harbor pilots aboard.
Well that would negate your earlier assumption regarding being off course and shed some light on my comment.
There is a bridge being replaced on the Illinois river at Peoria It is expected it will open this coming fall after 5 1/2 years of construction. They were hopping to have the bridge open in 4 years, but Covid caused some delays. That didn’t include bidding and design time..
Tradepoint Terminal, Tradepoint Atlantic, Perdue Logistics are all on Sparrows Point. I am sure they are getting bombarded with requests to unload vessels destined for facilities north of the bridge.
The fact is the vessel owners will just go to what ever place they can get unloaded. The cargo owners will not have any choice.
With a simple Youtube search, one can find compilations of dozens and dozens of incidents of large ships inexplicably crashing into infrastructure. I think Occam’s razor would lean far more toward equipment failure than terrorism.
Still gives me the creeps! I know “it’s beautiful” but it’s just too much.
We didn't load those finished goods onto burros and send them to Mexico.
We exported them through the PORTS that you claim would be completely unnecessary if the U.S. manufactured everything here.
I get more creeped out when passing under the Skyway Bridge via boat.
This may have been posted earlier, but this guy, What’s Going on With Shipping describes the wreck with apparently some knowledge of what’s going on when it comes to ships.

As long as the operations of most of our major ports are foreign controlled, our ports are a national security nightmare.
The Gubnor stated there was a MayDay call from the ship.
The economic damage and traffic issues this will cause for maritime and automobile traffic will be substantial. I can’t imagine any ships will be allowed to cross where the Key Bridge was for quite some time. At least until the damage is cleaned up.
Key Bridge was an alternate route for travelers not wanting to drive I-95 through Baltimore. That’s no longer an option for at least a few years. The one thing to watch will any accidents similar to this one occur this year.
Fox News is a useless, incompetent organization. CNN, in spite of its Marxist staff and outlook, usually does a decent job reporting these major incidents.
He also says the port anchor had been dropped but was not enough to stop event.
Yep, not at all impressed.
The next few months will be very interesting as far as bridge rebuilding, blame, funds, etc.
Any word on the poor victims? Scans found cars in the water and one guy was fished out, but nothing more.
