U.S. officials warned that President Joe Biden’s plan for the U.S. military to build a floating pier to deliver aid to Gaza could endanger U.S. troops, even if he has pledged there will be no boots on the ground in Gaza, according to a report.
NBC News reported Saturday that current and former administration officials are worried the plan “carries security risks.”

Lloyd Austin is Secretary of Defense. He skated on responsibility for the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle. He will skate again if there is a debacle in Gaza resulting in US servicemen casualties. The Republican US Senators will join their Democrat colleagues in statements of condolence to the families and tell the media it was an “unfortunate” incident.
Trying to imagine what will trigger the Islamo-Fascists is a fool’s errand because their leaders are riding the tiger. They have been known to make stuff up from whole cloth just to keep the rank and file agitated and so keep their congenital anger pointed in a direction that poses them no threat.

Wasn’t it a truck bomb or bombs that badly damaged the US Marine barracks building in Beirut Lebanon so many years ago? I believe they smashed it right through whatever inadequate barriers that were around the building and detonated it in or close to the front doors?

You’d think at a minimum we’d demand all American hostages turned over at the dock before a single item allowed ashore. But no mention of hostages, maybe they are all dead or presumed dead at this point. Quietly forgotten.
