This attack doesn’t make sense on many fronts.
1) Russia isn’t actively going after islamists. Why make them a target now? Why piss then off?
2) for Ukraine, the cia, or whoever it makes no sense to target civilians and not take credit. If Ukraine said “your civilians will die like ours do every day” it would make sense. In a vacuum, it makes no sense.
3) for Putin, it seems like he could set up Ukrainians to do this if it was a false flag: it’s a half assed effort if that is what it is.
It makes no sense strategically, across the board.
