After Dr. Viner proved he was a grossly incompetent fool his career ended in flames...right...

Nope.

You can’t make up this stuff—it is Monty Python material.

A nor’easter is just another name for an east coast low, one that comes up the coast from either the Gulf or off the coast of FL.

It’s the origin and storm track that gives it that designation.

And from what I’ve seen, they don’t last three days. Maybe some in the past have if they move really slow, but generally they are over in about 24 hours. It just takes 3 days to dig out from them.

The Newsweek story looks like yesterday’s news.

In Milwaukee, it snowed a total of 8 inches on Friday, according to local National Weather Service meteorologist Kevin Wagner. Milwaukee, Waukesha and Jefferson counties received the heaviest snowfall in the state during this storm, he continued.

Major snowfall is now finished in the Milwaukee area, but light flurries or an “additional dusting” are possible this evening.

The Milwaukee area should be warm enough to experience mostly just rain over the weekend, though snow or a rain-snow mix is still possible on Sunday. Milwaukee’s Sunday forecast indicates a high of 40 degrees and a low of 37.

Maybe for some people.

For us, it's this evening and tomorrows weather event.

I was home with 3 toddlers and I was 10 months pregnant. My husband was restless being stuck in the house and wound up riding with a snowplow driver all week.

LOTS of generators running during many of these events.
****************************************************
For now that is. Biden is going to phase out gas powered generators and you’ll have to buy an electric powered one in the future. /s...for now.

Hah! You did this. Now I don’t have to worry that it was me putting up my snow blower that caused the whole thing. I think I heard the lawn mower laughing at me...

Thanks.

We’re ready.

I just finished filling water bottles, and getting out candles, matches, and the LED camping lanterns. Got all the flashlights handy and have a few pocket one I will just carry with me at night. They are cute little glow in the dark ones and live on my nightstand.

Food is all cooked and just needs reheating.

“Frankly, I would be shocked if we didn’t lost power.

There are LOTS of trees here in NH. The state loves its trees.”

And I have to drive the family 2 1/2 hours south (on a sunny day) into southern Mass tomorrow for a party at my wife’s family home in Taunton. That is going to be a long ugly drive.

Oh, my.......

Let me know if you make it.

Then again, if I’m not on FR, you’ll know we lost power.

What general area are you starting from? You can FReepmail me if you don’t want to post it on the public forum.

All of NH is under the same kind of warning for conditions that I posted in post 1, which is this....

“The winter storm warning is for heavy, mixed precip with a total of 6-10” of snow, sleet accumulations of up to an inch, and ice up to 2/10”.

It starts around midnight tonight and is forecast for 100% precip through sunset tomorrow night. Then after the storm is over, the winds will increase with gusts up to 35 mph.”

It isn’t until you get into MA that it changes to a winter weather advisory with much less snow and a little less icing. The ice is going to be an issue.
