I'm so sorry for her.

My son has cancer....and has been fighting it for over 3 years..

I'm sorry to hear that Sacajaweau. My youngest son went through that for cancerous polyps. Thankfully he didn't need a colostomy, but did go through 6 months of two different chemo meds. He just got his 5 year check-up, and told he is cancer-free. I will keep your son in my prayers.

Back in 2010, I suffered a perforated bowel from diverticulitis, and underwent emergency surgery. I had a temporary colostomy for three months until they reversed it. I'm so glad my son didn't have to go through that. He was very fortunate that they were able to do his two bi-sections laparoscopically. I feel very fortunate that he and I had great surgeons when the need arose.
