The Daily Wire and controversial right-wing commentator Candace Owens parted ways on Friday, according to CEO Jeremy Boreing.
“Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship,” announced Boreing on X.
Owens’s departure comes after months of tensions between her and Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro over her promotion of various anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.
After the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel and outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip, Owens quickly emerged as a critic of Israel’s military operations, promoting falsehoods about supposed religious segregation in Jerusalem and all but accusing Israel of genocide.
In the months since, Owens has lashed out against “political Jews” and theorized about a “small ring” of “sinister” Jews exerting influence in Hollywood and Washington, D.C..
Most recently, she liked a tweet promoting the blood libel that Jews drink Christian blood as part of certain religious ceremonies, as Mediaite reported on Monday.
In November, Boreing had insisted that Owens was “paid to give her opinion,” and that until her opinion violated the law or the terms of her contract, she would be “welcome at Daily Wire.”
But that defense of Owens came before any of her more recent and more brazen comments.
Amidst renewed attention on her anti-Semitic comments this week, Owens has doubled down. After the Anti-Defamation League noted that infamous white supremacist Nick Fuentes had been praising Owens for her rhetoric, Owens said she was “grateful” that the organization had “turned their smear merchant guns on me.
“The world already knows my heart. Their attacks will have the opposite desired effect. Awaken world,” she wrote on X.
Owens responded to her departure on X shortly after Boreing’s announcement by declaring that she was “finally free” and soliciting donations.

She parrots a lot of old known information at times.
She also knows a Leftist/Marxist when she sees one. Or a brainwashed liberal.
She should go solo, it’s time.
To not see that what the Jews/Zionists are doing to Hamas, it to shut your eyes. I neither support them or are against them, but they are undeserving of the power base within US politics.
You are either American, and for OUR best interests, like Israel seems to be for theirs, or GTFO out of country.

I watched part of that show with the other rabbi, Michael Barclay. He wrote an article for P.J. Media entitled “Let’s Be Honest: Candace Owens is a Jew-Hating Bigot” which P.J. Media pulled down and apologized for. The good rabbi came off so badly I wonder whether this was the last straw for the DW folks.

I’m a retired high school teacher. I’ve seen that for myself, over and over again. Jewish kids (and immigrant Chinese kids too, by the way) they just work harder. Their families demand it.
Here’s an example. I was once contacted by a Jewish parent. He was respectful. But he did have a complaint: I wasn’t giving enough homework.

Is there a certain “tribalism” (for the lack of a better word) involved in Jewish success as well? Sure, but no more than with any other cohesive group. After all, go into a genuine Italian pizza shop and you’ll see many Italians working there.

There are always innocent victims in war. They exist in Ukraine and Iraq and Israel including Gaza. Innocent victims are a result of allowing an evil government to exist. There is an evil government in Gaza, its called Hamas. And it is fueled by other larger evil governments in the Middle East.
Israel is not the government of Gaza. Israel is like a big brother trying to hold the hands of a crazy little brother who just wants to kill someone. Hamas has no problem killing innocents. Not as a casualty of war. But more as a marketing strategy. On October 7th Hamas did not try to take any military advantage. They did not try to kill soldiers. They did not try to disable tanks or planes. They did not even try to take territory. There was no military reason for October 7th. The strategy was to kill as many innocents as possible. That was it.
Candice Owens does not understand the middle East. She does not understand Israel. She just reads the news which is very biased both ways. The news tells you about the extremes from both sides. And it avoids any information about the huge middle. There are millions of Palestinians living productive fruitful lives in Israel side by side with Jews and other ethnic people. And there are Jews in Israel who advocate for Palestinians, even protesting their own government on the streets of Jerusalem.
Gaza voted in Hamas once. And then elections stopped. Hamas is why Gaza is a slum. Gaza gets plenty of aid money. The money does not get to the people. The slums of Gaza are not like the slums of New York or the Slums of Calcutta. Gaza has its own government. They can do what they want if not for Hamas. The strong arm of Israel stops at the wall that surrounds Gaza. Gaza is a city state that runs itself. And only when it threatens Israel does Israel’s IDF get involved.
October 7th was a money making venture. Hamas was slowly loosing mind space in their benefactors priorities. The money they were getting from the world and the Muslim brotherhood of nations was shrinking. So they lashed out at Israel to get themselves in the news cycle. Russia was complicate as it keeps America occupied and the middle East in Russia’s orbit. Iraq, and a few Sunni countries no doubt were also complicate as well. A simple attack that costs less than a million dollars has now cost America and Israel tens of billions. And no doubt Hamas is being rewarded with billions worth of aid, even from America.
If Candice Owens wants to know what is wrong with her arguements, she can go to Israel right now. And spend 5 days in Acre, a mostly Palistinian city, and 5 days in Jerusalem a moslty Jewish city with a very large Muslim population, as I did a few weeks before October 7th. Then spend ten days each in Libia, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon. Candice will notice that Israel is the most inclusive, best run, freest and safest of all the Arab Mediterranean countries. Women and most relegions flurish there. But a very strong force lurks in plain sight securing the peace and freedoms. Might makes right is the law of the land in every country. But its most evident and most required in Arab countries. Candice does not understand this. She just understands that Israel is stronger than Gaza.
Ben Shapiro is also wrong. He says any criticism of Israel is antisemitic. It’s not. Criticism of Israel is valid just as criticism of America is valid. It may not be correct. But the right to criticism is valid. And Jews in Israel often criticize their own government, sometimes even siding with Palestinians.
Ben is a smart guy. But he and his kind are outrageously stupid as well. When it comes to public opinion Ben would have a hard time being accepted into a remedial class. He keeps saying antisemitic over and over again. But Palestinians and Germans are two different situations. They are two very different peoples. Israel is very different than the Jews of Germany. Israel is not the victim here even when they are the victim. The people with the fire power don’t get to play the race card. People around the world do not understand the situation in Israel. They do not understand that most Palestinians are living peacefully within Israel. They don’t understand the funding Gaza gets. They don’t understand the corruption of Hamas.
Ben should get a little introspective. He should ask himself why such an obvious atrocity against Israel is being interrupted as a genocide by Israel. Why doesn’t Ben’s antisemitic card work anymore. How has his big brain and Harvard education failed him. Ben and Israel have made terrorists look like the sympathetic good guys. How stupid is that. Ben had better figure out a better way to tell the Israel story. Yelling antisemitism and hiding under America’s skirts is not cutting it. In the court of public opinion Israel is losing a battle they should easily win. Candice Owens is not the problem. She is a symptom of Ben’s inabilities to defend Israel to the world.
I find it hard to believe Owens believes or supports this blood libel.
I find it very easy to believe that Mediate is intentionally distorting the facts to suggest she does.
