So much for “conservative” Speaker Mike Johnson.
What a massive disappointment.

Nobody paying attention every thought Mike Johnson was a principled conservative. The GOP establishment will NEVER EVER allow a conservative as House Speaker.
Johnson is just a lesser of evils. Glad to have him over McCarthy but we aren’t going to see miracles. It will mostly be more of the same with some battles won at the margins.
Politics is a nasty business. I’d rather stand hip deep in sh*t. Remember, everything...and I mean everything Congress does depends on getting the buy in of people you don’t like and would never have over for dinner. Let’s say you stick to your guns and, as a result, you won’t let anything happen. And nothing happening is exactly what would happen. Sounds great, right? You’re moral and ethical, etc. What happens to all the people dependent on business getting done? Elderly people waiting for a lifesaving operation. Thousands upon thousands of employees waiting for that defense contract that keeps them working. What happens to them? Well, they get laid off. They eventually go hungry. To avoid all of the bad things happening to regular people, the good politicians, by that I mean good people, step into the pile of sh*t and shake hands with people they wouldn’t invite to dinner.
My hat’s off. Glad it’s not me. And, by-the-way, if all the “right” things happened the way you or I’d like, with no input from the other side, we’d be in a full civil war. That’s the way the Founders designed it and that’s the only way it will work in the long term. You have to take a little sh*t with the sugar.
There is a ton of really bad stuff in this bill. Money for Ukraine, money for pushing trangender, etc.
Mike can quit his pretend now ad wipe that stupid smirk off his face.
Very few people in Congress have the courage to do what’s right. Johnson has proven he does not. Why was McCarthy removed if his replacement is no better?
What’s equally disappointing is MTG is the only one who speaks up. This 5 foot tall woman has more guts in her little pinky that the entire pathetic wussbag RINOpublican party that are about as useful as a Chris Christie diet plan. I will never ever ever forgive them for how they acted during the first 2 years of Trumps Presidency. Repubs had the White house, the Senate, the house and they let Democrats stomp all over them with the Russia collusion hoax, absolutely beyond pathetic
