He was in the photo shoot in a music magazine in the late 60s called Circus. Along with Carly Simon at her peak of looks in various poses next to him as he gazed downward or ahead blankly or looking depressed. I thought “That guy is totally nuts.” I turned out to be right as they later had news stories about his mental illness battles.
