The U.N. weather agency warned Tuesday the climate crisis is “the defining challenge” of our age, urging immediate action to curb global warming.
In its State of the Global Climate report, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said the year 2023 “broke every single climate indicator” and was “by far the warmest year on record.”
“Never have we been so close” to the 1.5° C lower limit of the Paris Agreement on climate change, the report laments, since the global average temperature in 2023 was 1.45° C above the pre-industrial average.
The report is meant to “raise awareness of the vital need to scale up the urgency and ambition of climate action,” according to WMO Secretary-General Celeste Saulo

Yes, indeed. It wouldn’t be so bad if they were just discussing something purely theoretical, like maybe the next number in a mathematical sequence.
But if they win their argument, billions of dollars will be diverted from medical research, repairing roads, etc. and thrown into fighting something that doesn’t even exist.
Hopefully it’s nice enough for them to move to Babylon, Iraq.

I think most people are happy, and even the scaremongers probably are, just trying to scare the gullible.
Those in the U.N. who truly believe that periodic “global Warming” will destroy the Earth if nothing is done should be vigorously promoting the use of nuclear power as a permanent solution ... and in the short term as a way to ease their delusion-founded fear.

Change the laws so we can shoot these people. They’re a threat to our security and sanity. Keep it within the law... by changing the law. That’s what criminals and democrat mayors do. You want less crime? Change the definition and change the law allowing a change in definition. Two can play this game.
We do pay the salaries of legislators, right? Well, let’s lobby them... and while we’re at it let’s move to get the UN out of our country.
