American drivers pay 45 percent more to fuel their daily commutes since President Joe Biden ascended to the White House, AAA data shows.
The national average gas price on Monday was $3.46 per gallon, according to AAA, up about 20 cents from last month.
When Biden assumed office, the national average was $2.38 per gallon, more than a dollar less than the current price. That is about a 45 percent increase since former President Donald Trump left office.

The difference is this. If, in 1970, you worked 8 hours for that $10 you could buy 50 gallons of gasoline. If you misplaced that $10 back then, and suddenly found it today, it would still represent 8 hours of your work life, yet you could only get 3 gallons of gas today.
Thus showing that the deliberate practice of “inflation” is harmful to those who want to save their money.
As the weather warms up, refineries are switching over to summer blends of gasoline and diesel. Those blends are more expensive to manufacture. And certain regional refineries have to make boutique blends to comply with state and local regulations. Expect more price hikes shortly.
