Yes but it is the racial percentages at the schools that matter. Looks like over 10 or 15 % black is dangerous.

That sounds about right to me. Once there are enough of them to start to ‘pack’ things go downhill rapidly. My school had two large families move in and they completely changed the atmosphere of the school. Black kids who had previously been well-behaved started acting out like the ‘new’ kids.

Bad attitude became the norm in the classroom. For those of you who haven’t taught, two or three ‘bad’ kids completely change a class’s environment. The teacher spends nearly all of his or her time dealing with the problem kids and any learning that happens is only through the strong will and determination of the kids who actually want to learn.

After about a year, the two families moved away (rent and legal problems) and just like magic, the school returned to its normal self.
