Fani Willis hearing live updates: Case can continue if she or special prosecutor Wade remove themselves, judge rules

If Willis is removed, it would hobble her case against former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants.

A Georgia judge ruled that Willis will not be disqualified from prosecuting the racketeering case against Trump and several co-defendants — but because of the appearance of impropriety she or the special prosecutor she had a relationship with must step down from the case.

The choice is likely to be an easy one: If Willis were to remove herself, the case would come to a halt, but having Wade leave the case will ensure it continues without further delay.

Live Updates: Judge Says Fani Willis Can Stay on Trump Case, but Only if Romantic Partner Leaves
The Atlanta district attorney came under scrutiny because of a romantic relationship with the lead prosecutor she hired to oversee the case. The judge said the prosecution can’t proceed unless he withdraws or she steps aside.

She’s not going anywhere and this decision is another sterling example of our broken legal system.

We are definitely not a country anymore.

Act accordingly.

“BREAKING: Judge rules Fulton County DA Fani Willis and entire staff must step aside, or Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade must withdraw from Trump case”

Well, I was wrong and I admit it. I had high hopes that integrity and ethics would prevail. I’m deeply disappointed in McAfee’s obvious political ruling.

Act accordingly.

For nearly all Americans, including most Freepers, that means to turtle up. No one on the right is going to "act" until it reaches their own front door, and by then it will be too late.

Bye bye, Loverboy...corrupt, arrogant, incompetent Fannypack continues.
.
The judge thinks he’s split the baby in half, but he’s only sh*t all over himself.

I said from the beginning that this judge is as dirty as it gets and you could tell by the way he was supporting her from the very beginning, defending her covering for her and leading her attorneys to do the right thing all pointed to the fact that this whole thing is rigged

WILLIS IS PROSECUTING TRUMP FOR “THE APPEARANCE” OF MISCONDUCT -

SO she is in equal jeopardy?

I predicted this before it even started. The judge is up for re-election. He should have been disqualified to begin with.

This cannot stand; it must stop.

She had enough time to negotiate a good settlement for herself and still sell Trump down the river.

The farce of a trial will continue to expose the persecution of Trump by orders of magnitude.

Trump’s landslide will gain energy and momentum

The appointed judge, who is facing an election for the first time, split the baby. He’s trying to make every possible voter happy. Time will tell if this worked for him.

His options ranged from removing his former boss, Fani, and her boyfriend as corrupt all the way to finding they were innocent. The one would have ended the case and the other would leave even the hardest Democrat raising his/her/ze’s eyebrows.

Looks like we are full on banana republic. It's very simple.

The reason the facts of this case demanded Willis, Wade and the entire Fulton County DA office be dismissed is to maintain public faith in the justice system because there is more than enough evidence of serious misconduct

Many people are now going to have zero confidence in the justice system. This sort of breakdown of the justice system is how it all started in Venezuela.
