The big dig 2.0.
What a Fu***** Joke. Anyone want to bet that the $100 Million is not enough? They will be back, guarantee it!
Bro, its just another hundred billion. Come on Bro, that’s like couch change!
$69 million per mile for France’s LGV Sud-Est seems like a bargain now.
Absolutely insane. This is nothing but money laundering for the unions. We don’t need this especially not at this cost. Stupid Californians voted for this boondoggle because they believed that it would come in at $8B, which is already too much.
The politicians and bureaucrats of California are not going to feed themselves you know! Bend over and drop your pants America, California wants to play with trains!
Is that for the ‘environmental’ study?.. /s
How many miles of track hasvebeen laid so far?
(Honest question: I really don’t know; but I do fear the answer may be ‘none,” or very little.)
I spent hours one night a month ago looking at Google Street View and Google Earth. Nothing is built — maybe 0.5 %
There is a one-mile-ish segment of raised structure in I think Fresno and THAT IS IT.
Biggest boondoggle on our planet.
Not million, BILLION!.................

I am a railfan; and I envy what Europe has apparently done with passenger trains to date — recognizing the level of Gov subsidy some enjoy...
How many politician’s companies or friend/family companies are involved ?

and
a terrible ripoff joke on the taxpayers
Billion, not million….and still not enough.
As we speak, they’re in process of building a “high-speed” train, some of which is being constructed down the center of I-15, which is going to go from Las Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga! The distance between Rancho Cucamonga to Los Angeles is around 40-50 miles depending on where your destination is in L.A.
So if you’re heading to L.A., when you get to Rancho Cucamonga, I suppose you’ll have to rent a car, hire an Uber driver, or take a bus to get to L.A.
When finished, this useless bullet train will carry passengers from one dystopian, uninhabitable sh*thole to the other one.
That assumes the passengers are not assaulted, robbed, rape or murdered enroute.
