The bus evidently swerved into a semi, they collided, and the bus caught fire. Non-fatal injuries not stated in this report, but, I would expect many, and perhaps more fatalities from burns with time. Horrific.

Just a couple of guesses. It was a medical emergency or the bus driver lost control trying to avoid something in her traffic lane.

In GA 18 yos can drive school buses. Yikes! If there aren’t laws against bus drivers over 65 yo, there should be imo.

The three children who were killed were the only children on the bus. The driver was 72. The other person was likely caring for the very young children.
