Instead of giving Ukraine the F-16s, why not give them these planes which are destined for a boneyard, especially the A-10s, which might make a small difference in the war.

Proud to say that I helped build those back in the '70s. But it may be time.....the current battlefield is awash in MANPADS and cheap drones. They did a helluva job in Desert Storm though. A guy who flew one said to me years later, regarding the ease with which they dispatched Saddam's armor: "it was like making war on your dog".

I am wondering if the AF as seen the battlefield in Ukraine and decided that the A10 would not survive the modern air space?
