Into the depleted field of journalism in America, a handful of websites have appeared in recent weeks with names suggesting a focus on news close to home: D.C. Weekly, the New York News Daily, the Chicago Chronicle and a newer sister publication, the Miami Chronicle.
In fact, they are not local news organizations at all. They are Russian creations, researchers and government officials say, meant to mimic actual news organizations to push Kremlin propaganda by interspersing it among an at-times odd mix of stories about crime, politics and culture.
While Russia has long sought ways to influence public discourse in the United States, the fake news organizations — at least five, so far — represent a technological leap in its efforts to find new platforms to dupe unsuspecting American readers. The sites, the researchers and officials said, could well be the foundations of an online network primed to surface disinformation ahead of the American presidential election in November.
Patrick Warren, a co-director at Clemson University’s Media Forensics Hub, which has exposed furtive Russian disinformation efforts, said advances in artificial intelligence and other digital tools had “made this even easier to do and to make the content that they do even more targeted.”
The Miami Chronicle’s website first appeared on Feb. 26. Its tagline falsely claims to have delivered “the Florida News since 1937.”
Amid some true reports, the site published a story last week about a “leaked audio recording” of Victoria Nuland, the U.S. under secretary of state for political affairs, discussing a shift in American support for Russia’s beleaguered opposition after the death of the Russian dissident Aleksei A. Navalny. The recording is a crude fake, according to administration officials who would speak only anonymously to discuss intelligence matters.

Either way the Biden comment is a win for Putin. Choices are: people think Putin wants Biden so I’ll vote for Trump; Trump wins which is actually Putin’s goal; Biden wins and Biden thinks maybe he can work with Putin to cool the world off. Other possibilities I have not thought of. Meanwhile to understand Putin, read the link below on the book by the man called “Putin’s Brain.” It lists around 20 actions or goals for Russia to conquer and/or control most of the world including the United States. This book is as concerning and serious as Hitler’s Mein Kampf was in the 1930s. Too bad more people did not read or listen then. Let us not make the same mistake now. At least read the link, and perhaps then the book itself.

How many of the actions “special services” were advised to help create have you yourself seen happening in the US. Do you think it was just by accident?? Wake up America and smell the true source of stink. It is not just the swamp. My father was fighting this war in the 1940s after the war ended when Stalin was trying to take over the east and west coast ports using commie infiltrated labor unions. And it is still happening!

I am not convinced that the Russians or Chinese…. are trying to influence the elections one way or the other. Rather sewing discord and chaos. Disinformation and misinformation serve that purpose. What I find fascinating is that ANY information out there that is critical of Russia or Russian war efforts is immediately targeted as propaganda.
Here is one example and I know this will bring the flames, Denys and his YouTube content.
I watch his stuff fairly regularly. I find it to be pretty fair. He covers the frontline reports, reports loses and gains for both sides. He is critical of Ukraine and zalinsky at times when he sees something to criticize which is fairly often.
What I would like for someone to do is to watch one of his episodes and point out to me where what he is reporting is false.
I am open minded and if someone has content which disputes something he has said or claims is happening but is not I would definitely consider it.

I’ve not looked for any of the sites, but I say this is BS! Which is normal from the Lying “Administration” and the Lying NYT.
