President Trump is narrowing his choices for a running mate in November and is focused on three young U.S. senators, according to a GOP strategist with close ties to the campaign.
Sens. Katie Britt of Alabama, J.D. Vance of Ohio and Marco Rubio of Florida are the top choices, Ryan Girdusky, a GOP strategist and conservative blogger, said.
Not included on the shortlist: South Dakota Gov, Kristi. Noem, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake, or his former press secretary Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Neither Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis nor Mr. Trump’s recently vanquished GOP primary opponent, Nikki Haley, are under consideration.

He’d be a good choice.
B.S.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders might be an interesting choice. No way for Lake or Noem. Rubio would be fine.
Marco Rubio, a U.S. Senator from Florida, is not constitutionally certified to be Vice President. The role of Vice President is determined by the Electoral College and the Constitution.
I still want to see him pick Ron Burgum from North Dakota.
DJT has to pick someone that will scare the Deep State as much as he does.
Otherwise, they’ll “ eliminate “ him in order to get to a lightweight VP pick.
DJT does not have to check any WOKE boxes.
DeSantis, or Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation, would be my choices. They’re both D.C. outsiders, like Trump, and the Deep State would absolutely hate either of them.
It is NOT Abbott,it is someone from NY, my guess is Lee Zeldon!!
Tim Scott backed Lisa Murkowski against her far more conservative opponent.
The Deep State would love Tim Scott.
Prez and Veep cannot be from same state (but no doubt Mr. Trump could establish residence anywhere he wishes)
FAKE NEWS According to Gorka, he has already made his pick.
I agree. J.D. Vance would be a safe choice in terms of finding someone who agrees with your agenda. But there are others who also fit that bill and wouldn’t cost us a Senate seat. With the way Ohio has been voting lately, his replacement would probably be a Republican, but it’s not worth risking IMO.
Someone is just making up shit
I agree. Burgum is solid. No frills. Just someone who’s competent, supports Trump’s agenda and could step in if need be. And after all, isn’t that pretty much what really matters?
Highly doubtful. 🙄
Texas is a given, though. I think it will be someone from a swing state.
Can’t pick Rubio unless Trump is going to leave Florida as his state of residence (or Rubio, but he is a Senator from there so that isn’t possible). Otherwise would not get the state’s 30 electoral votes.
So I don’t believe this story at all that any of them are on a shortlist if something this basic is wrong.
Yes, and Yes.
Regards
Trump doesn’t need help getting votes and he doesn’t need somebody who’s controversial that will appeal to some but repel others. I’m a fan of Nixon’s philosophy. Don’t look for someone who can help you get votes. Just find someone who doesn’t hurt you.
I was thinking that too about Rubio. Unless Trump registers to vote here in Nevada, he won’t pick Rubio.
We need to keep JD Vance in the Senate.
As long as it is not Neocon Nikki, I will be fine with any pick.
What’s your point?
