Key paragraph

But there are still those Republicans who are nostalgic for a more orderly GOP. And many of them looked to Haley as their final hope, at least for now, of making that happen. Haley spoke passionately about the “chaos” that surrounds Trump — and indeed, he is a man facing 91 felony counts and all the trouble that entails. She promised a return to a calmer and more disciplined Republican Party. Her problem was that there were not nearly enough Republicans who want that, too.

Some love Trump, others don’t love him but like his results, and others think that for all his flaws he is what the GOP needs to fight a Democratic Party dominated by progressive activists. Some would even like to move on from Trump but don’t believe there is another Republican on the scene with the strength and talent to lead the party in a new direction.

In any event, Haley has lost, and those supporters who want to change today’s Republican Party will have to wait for new circumstances to bring new leaders.

I have been making the “hero’s journey” case around her for a while.

That is the “magic” of this campaign.

Most folks don’t believe in this stuff—but I am convinced there is a Jungian “collective unconscious” that consists of the great symbols and myths of all of human history—popularized by Joseph Campbell.

President Trump fits into that template perfectly.

That is why I am convinced that despite all the forces arrayed against him—including voter fraud of all kinds—he will prevail in November with a landslide victory.

If that is an “irrational belief” I am owning it.

It’s not irrational, it’s unlikely given the cheat. Though If Trump continues his trend of picking up more voters than last time he may overwhelm the cheat. That’s his only hope I think given that he’s up against pure evil.

Some loyal Republican voters have always been uneasy about the style of former President Donald Trump.

I don't particularly like some of Trump's personality traits. But the results he delivers more than overcome any such dislike.

The Virginia primary yesterday is an example of what can go right.

We know there is massive cheating in that state—the games they play in Northern Virginia are stunning in their scope—in fact I would argue they stole more votes there in 2020 than anywhere else.

However yesterday President Trump’s lead was so ridiculously large that they didn’t even bother to turn on the cheat machine.

You can see the hints of this when reporters mumble “wow, how did he do so well in Louden County”?

The opposite example was in Vermont—a small lead, then holding of ballots in an urban center—then a big release late in the night—we have seen it all before.

So we need a landslide in November.

Is it difficult? Yes. Very.

Is it impossible? No it is not. That is what we need—and we might need some luck with current events to demoralize Democrats.

If we get lucky and Biden stays on the ticket he could be the October surprise stroking out or freaking out or whatever...

A RFK Jr. third party in fifty states on the Libertarian ticket could create landslide conditions for us as some Democrats defect.

The perfect is the enemy of the good—even if 5% of the Democrats defect that could make a big difference.

I think it is going to happen—the pieces will fall into place.

York speaks for a lot of FR Party Pukes. They want order and if that means losing in perpetuity and never fighting for anything so be it.

I concur, he does some things that annoy me, but he delivers. He delivered more than any Republican president since Reagan. The Bush’s, Dole, McCain and McRomney all knew they were lying when they made promises on the campaign trail. Even worse is the GOP congressional Republicans they are the scum of humanity for betrayals and lies. This is where the Party pukes can’t handle things, they are like abused spouses who accept their spouses infidelity or drinking problem, they blindly ignore it to the end.

Trump sometimes punches down when he shouldn’t and he can be vulgar, but I am not electing a pastor, but a president, he fights and NO ONE else in the Republican party will fight and he does deliver.

Nikki may think she is the favorite for 2028 because she was the last anti-Trump candidate in the race. But in that case John Kasich should have preference (from 2016)--and his father was a mailman.

Even if Nikki comes out and supports Trump (which may or may not happen), a lot of Trump supporters will never want her on a national ticket. There are lots of better choices for 2028...assuming we can all survive until then.

All these pseudo-conservatives fail to observe the only drama swirling around President Trump has been create either by them or the Left. The Leftist Press screams about divisiveness all the while they are the ones creating that very divisiveness.

It is a shame so many people are gullible enough to not see that truth.
