Former New York City Police Department Commissioner Ray Kelly, the department’s longest-serving commissioner, cautioned on Sunday that New York City’s quality of life “has really deteriorated.” Migrant crime is a major reason.
Venezuela’s notorious Tren de Aragua gang and El Salvador’s feared MS-13 — what former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker calls “prison-spawned gangs” — are threatening to take over American cities. They bring “mindless knuckle-dragging violence,” warns Swecker. They’re the “most dangerous gangs on the planet.”
Swecker speculates that countries are emptying their prisons deliberately. Gang leaders setting up crime rings in the U.S. “come out of the muck and the slime of the South American prisons.”
While law enforcement officials here are warning us about the collapse of public safety, left-wing pols deny there’s a problem. Ana Maria Archila, co-director of New York’s Working Families Party, calls the “chaos and insecurity” people are feeling a “false sense.” She blames it on racism and xenophobia, not reality. Open your eyes, Ms. Archila.
Public safety is visibly spiraling downward: migrants beating cops in Times Square; migrants running prostitution rings; migrants on mopeds robbing pedestrians; migrants shoplifting and stripping retail stores; and now a migrant who recently left New York has been arrested for killing a Georgia nursing student, Laken Riley. Not everyone violating the border is a hardened criminal, but President Joe Biden’s open borders are allowing the worst to get in.
When Mayor Eric Adams was asked on Feb. 20 about stabbing incidents and violence against cops at the Randall’s Island shelter, Adams said that “even the most peaceful person — being confined to an area with 3,000 people … there comes a time where it just irritates you.”
“Irritates”? Adams is downplaying a serious threat.
New York’s misguided “sanctuary city” policy makes the danger worse. If a migrant is arrested in New York, the NYPD is barred from communicating with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement to determine whether the migrant should be deported, jailed or allowed back on the street. On Monday, Adams stated clearly that sanctuary status must be changed so migrants who commit felonies can be picked up by ICE and deported. He’s said it before. Now it needs to happen.
Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, entered the U.S. from Venezuela illegally in September 2022, was granted “parole” under Biden’s policy and came to New York on a bus. While here, he was arrested once but not detained. Now he’s charged with murdering Riley, who was out jogging on the University of Georgia’s Athens campus.
Swecker suggests that “this man did not burst spontaneously into a criminal overnight. This is someone who has committed crimes before.”
After moving to Athens, Georgia, Ibarra was arrested three times, including for shoplifting. But Athens is also a sanctuary city, and he was always released.
On Saturday at CPAC, Donald Trump likened “migrant crime” to the deeds of fictional killer Hannibal Lecter, who eats victims. Not such a stretch in Ibarra’s case, considering he’s charged with “murder with malice” for bludgeoning Riley’s body until it was disfigured.
The vicious gang MS-13 is resurging and may join forces with Tren de Aragua. In 2017, an MS-13 gang hacked and beheaded four Long Island teens, using machetes, knives and a chisel. Gruesome.
The Left denies migrant crime is a problem. The public knows better. A new Pew Research Center report says 57% of Americans believe the huge influx of migrants is leading to more crime.
On Saturday, Adams stood in Times Square, boasting that it’s safe. But saying it doesn’t make it so. Just two days earlier, a teenager visiting the “Crossroads of the World” for the first time was knifed by a gang of masked attackers, including several migrants. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital with a collapsed lung.
Migrant gangs pose the biggest danger, but pervasive sex trafficking is also a scourge. Watch at about 6 p.m. each day as women exit shelters and get picked up in cars, leaving their kids behind for the night. It’s happening in all five boroughs, according to Homeland Security Investigations Deputy Agent in Charge Darren McCormack.
Are neighbors who criticize what’s happening xenophobic and racist? No. They just want a decent life, and they see it disappearing fast.
Look at the picture, we are in trouble.
There’s not one happy one among them that I can see.
The left resorted to a gas lighting campaign with fake migrant crime stats right after the GA murder. Don’t believe your lying eyes! A good response would be to start Willie Horton ads blaming Biden for the poor girl’s murder.
Rational people knew this was coming.
The left elite want this to break down our systems.

I keep seeing media reports that the illegals commit far fewer crimes than native born Americans.
Not that countries like Venezuela are emptying their prisons and sending the prisoners straight to the U.S. - they’d never do that right? And there was a massive prison breakout in Haiti - how many of them will end up in the U.S. Oh, but they’ll change their ways once they hit the magic dirt of the U.S. and become law-abiding citizens, right?

Book review: Kurt Schlichter’s The Attack

Kurt Schlichter’s People’s Republic series—eight thus far—has been tremendously popular. Its fictional hero, Army Captain Kelly Turnbull, operates in an America split apart into The People’s Republic—today’s blue states—and The United States, today’s red states whose capital is Dallas, TX. Turnbull specializes, among other things, in rescuing people from the blue.
Take the current state of woke with its pronouns, triggers, microaggressions, furries, trans, DEI, CRT, Antifa, BLM, anti-Constitution, anti-American orthodoxy and imagine a nation entirely overrun by those sorts of people, and you have the People’s Republic. In the reborn United States, everyone is armed, polite, and no one messes with a citizen’s weapons. Full citizenship depends on military service, and there is no question about the rule of law.
Schlichter explains his books are not a how-to or a wish for that kind of schism, but a warning, an exposing of the anti-American, woke lunacy engulfing America circa 2024. In that we agree and a review of most of those entertaining books may be found here.
On January 8, I posted Terrorists attacks in America: for what are they waiting? In that article I suggested we are probably not facing more 9-11 style attacks. They’re just not necessary. More likely are hundreds of smaller attacks, synchronized to occur in every state across the country at the same time. Churches, schools, theaters, WalMarts, every place Americans gather, every place we’re vulnerable. I also suggested more sophisticated actors such as the Chinese military would strike at infrastructure, the Internet, the electric grid, water supplies, food supply lines, again, everywhere we’re vulnerable. Such attacks would kill tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands.
Schlichter has just released The Attack, a different kind of novel. It’s a first person, biographical history of precisely the sort of attack I suggested. I’m certainly no psychic, but one doesn’t need to be to forecast the kinds of terrorist attacks likely in an America with wide open borders and a mentally impaired President whose handlers appease, and perhaps even, ally with terrorist states. They certainly fund them.
As with Schlichter’s People’s Republic series, The Attack posits an entirely possible reality, told afterward through interviews with Americans who survived.
During The Attack, many Americans, radicalized college students, Antifa types and others, joined the jihadists and were shocked to discover this time, Americans had no tolerance for their revolutionary street theater

As with Schlichter’s People’s Republic series, The Attack is an entirely realistic and plausible recounting of the consequences imposed by those who would destroy our constitutional republic to build a faux-utopian “our democracy.” All are worth reading, and perhaps The Attack might awaken some of those responsible for protecting America.
Sadly, I wouldn’t count on it.

This is what is keeping me up at night. I fear for my children and my grandchildren’s safety. No one absolutely no one is safe. I feel so incredible unsafe here in my own nation, because I know that if something should happen to myself or my children or grandchildren every one in judicial system will turn a blind eye. If something bad happens to any American citizen You know the FBI and all those bastards will cover it up and label the criminal a white national. That is exactly what happened to Laken’s killer …may God vengeance her blood on those bastards who allowed this to happen to her…. FJB, Mayorkas and the DC swamp. Notice how quickly the mediaPUKES dropped the story? If you have daughters in universities or whatever place, you better get them a gun because they will be the next victim to be raped and murdered. We are in extreme danger now that FJB and Mayorkas have imported the most evil heinous criminals from around the world who are now roaming our streets to see who they can prey upon next. No baby or toddler/child is safe neither!
Oh, and another thing I forgot to make this observation …remember all those pictures of single young military age invaders? Why only men? Because those are the ones that were released from the prisons. NOW It makes sense!
But think of all the great diversity. Your daughters can be raped by any number of diverse rapists rom all over the world. Your son can be decapitated in a hundred different languages.
