At the time, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were military cities, producing military hardware for the Japanese armies. They were military targets not civilian centers. Those two bombs could have killed a lot more civilians if we had targeted other cities.
If their hovel was bombed out, they were not Palestinian but Hamas. Most dwellings in Gaza are several steps above hovels and can be observed on Google earth as they existed in May 2022
I have concluded that in the event of a war crimes trial, video evidence of every bombed out Gazan structure can be presented along with proof it was Hamas controlled.
That is a talking point I hear constantly, Putin ins avoiding civilian casualties while razing cities in the front and launching ballistic missiles and drones into many cities away from the front, like Kiev

In todays terms we don’t target civilians because we have the capability to do so, however in ww2 we did target civilian like carpet bombing cities. The is not an excuse, that was the times
There is a scene in a movie, can’t remember title where formation is bombing a factory and there is cloud cover and after running flak gauntlet, the lead says we have to come around again and look for opening in clouds there is a school next to factory. That is total BS, bombing accuracy back then meant bombs falling within square miles not sq feet.
Not being disparaging , but that was the reality back then, like fire bombing Tokyo. We would not do that today, Israelis are not doing that, Russians are to the best of their ability. Anyone who says Putin is going in soft is either misinformed or a troll
I’m surprised that the Israelis haven’t claimed that the soldiers feared that the starving Palestinians might eat them, and that’s why they were forced to shoot them. I know for a fact that if they had made such a claim the Israel First choir here would sing that song 24/7, just as they repeat everything the Israeli Propaganda Ministry churns out.
Carpet bombing cities to take out military infrastructure is by its nature going to take out a lot of civilians as well. But that doesn’t mean civilians were intentionally targeted.
Yes that is the point, ask Lebanon about what happened when they let in Palestinians the last time.

Again I think that is a distinction without a difference, targeted or not the planners knew there would be massive civilian casualties. Not condemning, that was the technology of the time and as the saying goes play stupid games get stupid prizes.
The German people were supportive of hitlers goals and actions just fine when the death and distraction was happening “over there”, the fact that it came home eventually is the way it works.
The difference today is we have the ability to target better and hit more accurately which reduces but does not eliminate collateral civilian harm

How did those thousands of murdered Palestinian infants and toddlers back Hamas? I have a two year old grandson. I’m pretty sure it might be difficult for him to shoot an IDF soldier or build a bomb to carry out a terrorist attack. As you and others continue to rationalize away killing ten thousand, and counting, Palestinian children you might tap the master of doing this statements. You can quote him verbatim rather than generalizing his statements the next time I post article crying and sniveling like an old women about these children’s deaths.

If there are starving children, maybe Egypt could open their border and let some in. We all know why nobody else is questioned.
