Used to work with an electrical engineer that got his degree at Berkeley. Seems the engineering college was at the top of a hill and the lunchtime entertainment was sitting on the side of the hill eating lunch and watching the liberal arts rioters at the bottom of the hill get their heads bashed in by the cops

Fun Guy, seriously warped sense of humor. He’s long gone.

EE grad from UC at that time — I’m guessing the FSM period.
I was far more liberal then but I still could not join the Libs in their protest as I had too much HW to do. You see EE classes did not shut down like the Econ classes. I did get to watch some of the events before the police arived. It was an exciting time, but no antisemitism then. That all came later with the bocott movement and the media convincing the weak minded that it was all Israel’s fault. (Yes, I’m Jewish BTW.and I did go back to Cal to watch a football game last year. But I went in disguise.)
