Moldova should cede Transnistria to Ukraine. The people there speak Russian or Ukrainian, and Ukraine is already at war with Russia. Then Ukraine can take military action to end the Russian occupation there as well.

I did not watch the video but didn’t the ethnic Russians who populate this region vote in a referendum today to ask for Russian protection? Yes, we’ve seen this movie before.

Who cares what the UN recognizes.

EXPLAINED: What Happens If Breakaway Transnistria Joins Russia?

Excerpt:

“Founded with Moscow’s assistance, the predominantly Russian-speaking region declared independence from Moldova in 1990 following the collapse of the USSR, citing the lack of protection for Russian speakers as Moldova sought closer integration with Romania in the 1990s due to close cultural and historical ties between the two.

The separatist movement in Transnistria eventually led to a brief but bloody conflict with Moldovan forces, with Tiraspol – through the help of Russian troops – emerging victorious and maintaining its autonomy. However, no UN member state has recognized its independence, and the UN continues to consider it part of Moldova.

Since the conflict, the Kremlin also has around 1,500 soldiers permanently stationed in the region on what it has called a “peacekeeping” mission.”

That would certainly make the trip to Odessa a lot shorter.

If Moldova is worried about it, they should reunite with Romania. That would put them in NATO.

Russian foreign policy can make certain conditions clear that will lead to expanded war.

As an example. If the British send Troops under the Bilaterial Security Agreement with Ukraine.
1. We will make it priority to kill them
2. If they attack Russian land beyond the 1991 Ukraine boarders, we reserve the right to hit British Soil.
3. Any weapons manufactured, or provided by the British, that are used by either British or Ukrainian forces beyond the Ukrainian 1991 boarders, that strike Russian Soil will result in retaliation against the Country of Manufacture.
4. From the moment a Bilateral Security Agreement allows soldiers from a NATO country to arrive in Ukraine without triggering Article 5 under NATO, they must accept that any attacks against Russian Soil can and most likely will result in an attack on that Nations Soil.
6. British Missiles can no longer be used in Ukraine if British soldiers arrive in Ukraine, against Russia Soil - Russia does not know if it is the British or the Ukrainian or even another NATO country firing thosel missiles against Russia. Therefore, the introduction of British
Troops would make any use of a British missile against an oil refinery in Russia an Act of War by Britian.
7. RUSSIA WILL ASSUME A RETALIATORY ATTACK AGAINST A NATO COUNTRY WILL INVOKE ARTICLE 5 OF THE NATO CHARTER THUS ALL NATO MUST MAKE CLEAR THAT THE BILATERAL SECURITY AGREEMENTS AND ATTACKS AGAINST THOSE NATO COUNTRIES WILL NOT RESULT IN THEIR SUPPORT IN ATTACKING RUSSIA - OTHERWISE RUSSIA WILL CONSIDER TO BE TARGETED ALONG WITH ALL OTHER NATO NATIONS FAILING TO REMAIN NEUTRUAL. BILATERAL SECURITY AGREEMENTS NULIFY THE PROXY STATUS OF UKRAINE MAKING THOSE NATIONS IN A STATE OF WAR.

Any country in NATO runs the risk of being targeted together with out their departure from NATO’s Article 5 for the duration of this conflict. They may remain in NATO but must declare to remain Neutral if the war spreads from Russia/Ukraine to EU Nations suppporting Ukraine under the bilateral security agreement. If they do not then they can be hit in a first strike along with (in the above example, Britan).

Any coutnry going to War will Russia can expect Russia to sink their ships or attacks on all National interest in Europe. Thus British Troops in Germany or Poland will also become targets the moment Britan enters Ukraine under the bilateral security agreements. This also means Berlin, or Madrid, or Amsterdam become targets if they can join a war started by Britan against Russia.

Only if Russia makes this clear will support within NATO for this war begin to slow down. The introduction of NATO soldiers is simply making the Nation of origin a target, along with all of NATO.

Alarmism. He’s keeping troops there like they’ve been there for years. Annexation might happen if Russia took all of Ukraine’s coastline. Otherwise, it’s unlikely.
