My father was military, ALL 3 of my brothers were militarchy, my son was military and my daughter served in the DOD in intelligence.
We have nothing but contempt now for the people running the military and abhor how the generation sees America.
There is little reason left to risk your life in service to the current government and social engineered culture.
If the country burns we will fair better than most, not to mean we won’t get caught up in something horrible, just we are prepared and can accept such difficulties.
We have a running joke of who is allowed in the compound, half serious, you have no life skills, you live outside in the wilderness.
They mean to say it has nothing to do with ‘woke’ crapola???
The cultural environment certainly has changed since I served in the 60’s!
Any earnest American youth who is actually interested in serving and protecting America is going to see that joining the US military is not the way to achieve those goals.
Had a bunch of idiots younger than me try telling me that the Bill of Rights was somehow racist.
They couldn’t point out what was racist in it, but they were absolutely convinced that it had to be racist.
And they vote.
Towards the end of my time in school they had started with how great China’s “great leap forward” supposedly was, and hiw caring Islam is with the five pillars of Islam.
This was in the early 90’s.
It’s gotten worse since.

Though I absolutely oppose the “woke” “hate America” narrative pushed by some in the educational establishment, and I suppose that said narrative may indeeed persuade a few kids that America is a racist, oppressive, malevolent force in the world not worth defending or fighting for, I’m a little skeptical that this sort of thing is the *primary* reason the military is losing recruits.
I tend to think the military itself is the reason. Starting with the Obama administration, the officer class swung left and began embracing homosexuality, transgenderism and all manner of perversity... and race-hustling and general political leftism. Polls of military officers in 2020 indicated that a stunning 60 percent disapproved of President Trump, a staggering 20 percentage points above Trump’s disapproval rate among enlisted personnel. Eventually, the word has trickled out... this ain’t your grandpa’s military anymore.
Who wants to be illegally coerced and abused to take a potentially crippling experimental drug which can change your life for no good reason?
I spent over 30 years in the military. For that "vaccine" reason alone I discourage any of my grandkids to join. It was a complete betrayal of trust and an abuse of power.
They also have become woke and anti-White

That’s only part of it. Recruitment is not falling for Blacks or Hispanics. It is falling off a cliff for Whites. When an organization signals that it thinks you are the problem, holds you in contempt, and does not have your back, you’d be a fool to join that organization.
The quality of the people joing the military is summed up by the USAF idiot that set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy while in uniform hollering free Palestine.
Thankfully he’s dead.

Nobody I’ve read, I think, captures the true feelings of many young, white, straight young men today. I don’t know about females. But, I have served my country 7 years and have some experience related to “What’s it all about?”
In purest unvarnished words, as a young man of 18 (if I were one):
1. My dad is a Vet and does not want me to serve under a President like Biden who clearly DISRESPECTS the military.
2. I do not want to find myself being ordered around all day by a LGBTQ person, particularly in combat.
3. I do not want to find myself being ordered around all day by a woman, particularly in combat.
Now, to a FAR LEFT RADICAL DEMOCRAT, or radical journalist, the foregoing makes me a homophobe and a misogynist. Well, that is their perverted opinion and that’s about where we are today and why this communist group of Biden puppet masters in the Whitehouse cannot recruit anybody.
