Residents saw boxes of bunk beds being loaded into the building. So, when they weren’t getting answers, they convened a meeting. They said they were angry over the lack of communication and about being kept in the dark.

After sitting empty for 10 years the city tried to turn it into a migrant shelter but locals got really pissed and it didn't happen.

I wrote about it when it happened. A busload of Jamaicans were bussed to a polling station in Miami and told to vote the top candidate since they could not read English. The ballots had switched the positions and Bush was on top and eventually won by 14 votes.
Of course the DNC no longer busses illegals to polling stations.
