Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was booed during former President Trump's remarks Saturday following his projected South Carolina primary victory.
The big picture: It's not the first time the South Carolina senator, who has relatively low approval ratings in his state, has faced an unfriendly Trump crowd, particularly in his home state.
Graham was met with boos from the crowd while appearing on stage beside Trump in Columbia after he was projected to beat former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.
"I love him, he's a good man," Trump said. "We have a highly opinionated group of people here."
Graham during his brief remarks called Trump "the most qualified man to be president United States."
Driving the news: "Another man, not a lot of people know him, he doesn't do too much television, he happens to be a little bit further left than some of the people on this stage, but I always say, when I'm in trouble on the left, I call up Lindsey Graham," Trump said.
Trump has previously joked Graham could help him score "liberal" votes.

Could it be that people in his home state are finally waking up? If so, I hope they aren’t too late.

If for some reason Trump isn’t the nominee and it is Haley, she will lose SC to Biden because Republicans will stay home. Even Mondale won his home state. That’s how bad Haley is.
Not liking him cozying up to Tim Scott now either. He’s a RINO period. Just because he’s missing Trump’s ass note we shouldn’t trust him.
That’s alright,
Linda gram probably booed first and at President Trump who is still the President.
So he packed up his cosmetics and blow dryer and went home
I sent realize how short Graham is - he comes up to Trump’s armpit.
No.
SC GOP is the epitome of RINO. The party coat of arms is a Rhino with a elephant trunk taped over it’s snout.
The Speaker of the House recruited a liberal democrat to run against a freedom caucus member in the Republican primary this year.
Does anyone know the status of SC district 6?
There are still 3 delegates yet to be pledged.
Either the split will be 47-3 or 44-6, but weirdly, no one is reporting who is ahead or what % of votes are counted.
SC politics has certainly changed since the arrival of Boeing and its political “contributions”. What entity could be more “Deep State” than a huge defense contractor?
Trump needs to have a private discussion with the back stabbing Linda.
It was a very low key boo...I’m betting a few rotten Dems...
This NC boy will also stay home.
The headline makes it sound as if Lindsay himself booed Trump.
It’s confusing because then the article goes on to say Linsay stood up for Trump and was booed so it comes off as if the crowd is anti-Trump but they just don’t like Lindsay.
Could be written more clearly, imho.
I’ve been working in SC politics for three decades. Boeing was not the introduction of this brand of Republicanism. Boeing is the brass ring.
The state GOP in multiple states are infested with Globalist want-to-be and they will morph their values with the US Chamber for a 30 pieces of silver faster than a chameleon changes its colors in the wild.
I’ve heard a lot worse booing.
NJ conservatives would happily trade Senators
WE are going to need ALL votes to win in Nov.
Good.
Mookabooker,
Graham is a RINO of the worst kind.
I won’t forget how he blamed Trump for Jan. 6.
Didn’t Graham call Joey B one of the best people in politics or along those lines?
