Former President Donald Trump’s legal team filed a motion on Friday seeking a stay on the execution of an $83 million judgment against him for 30 days to allow for post-trial motions that may impact the penalty figure.
The motion, citing Rule 62 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, asks for either an “unsecured” or “partially secured” stay of the court’s Feb. 8 judgment until 30 days after the resolution of President Trump’s post-trial motions.
The motion requests to grant President Trump the right to “post a bond in an appropriate fraction of the amount of the judgment.”
The attorneys state that the post-trial motions will be filed no later than March 7.
They additionally ask for a temporary administrative stay of the judgment pending the resolution of the post-trial motions, or, alternatively, for the court to issue a ruling on Friday’s motion by March 4.
“As multiple courts have held, an unsecured stay may be appropriate before the court rules on post-trial motions where the amount of the judgment is uncertain and likely to be affected by the disposition of post-trial motions,” the filing reads.

We all know the motion will be denied. Trial judges are granted far too much authority to obstruct appellate review of their decisions. A right to appeal should automatically result in a different judge entertaining such motions, but that almost never happens.
We have to remember under our legal system the Leftists have a right to a speedy persecution of a conservative enemy.
There can be no delays. Pay up $83 million. There’s an election to ruin.
For the other judgment there is a monitor who can say “no” to any way Trump wants to liquidate assets to raise the money required for his appeal of the $454.2 million judgment.

1) The democrat politicians in the state of New York who passed the Adult Survivors Act(ASA), whivh allowed Carroll to proceed with her frivolous civil lawsuits.
2) Judge Lewis Kaplan who allowed this idiocy to continue in multiple court rulings.
3) The Second Circuit Appeals Court which kicked the case back to Kaplan, instead of putting an end to this nonsense.
4) Reid Hoffman who funds Carroll’s legal team.
5) The anonymous jurors who issued a ridiculous verdict.
6) Judge Kaplan again, for being an incompetent judge & running his courtroom like a democrat partisan.
