I wonder with all the satellites going up in space from all over the world, how would you know if a few of them contained a small nuclear weapon.

They’ve violated every nuclear arms treaty we’ve ever had anyway. Why bother writing letters?

A couple of decades ago, I worked with a retired military officer who had worked at a land based chemical laser facility that he said was capable of disabling overhead satellites. He said that they were working at making it airborne, but that it was difficult to contain all the chemical tanks in an airplane.

If we could disable satellites a quarter century ago, I can’t imagine that we can’t do an even better job now. If so, all it would take to disable any Russian space based atomic weapon is a quiet zap!, any time we wished. The Russian satellite would simply become “non-responsive”, one of the perils of space.

Russian nukes in space pfffft. Are we not doing the same thing with the XB-37 spacecraft? Think about it. Its a classified military misson not a NASA mission
