What happened to Navalny was horrible, but so is what is happening to Trump. I know the Executive Branch is not going to sanction itself, but in my opinion this is hypocrisy from the Biden gang .

We weren’t imposing “major” restrictions before?

A ruling regime that seeks to eliminate the leading figure of the political opposition.
Is the current US administration opposed to this sort of thing? or in favor of it? I’m confused.

The United States is gonna be REAL surprised when we wake up one day and the US dollar is no longer the world reserve currency, because of the pinheads running things.
Prepare for that day - I am.

From what I have read, the sanctions aren't working. For instance, I have read that Russia sells oil to India. India then refines the oil. The the U.S. buys the oil on the open market.
It that is true, then, how is that sanction working?
There's better than an even chance that this new sanction will work just as well.
This is the classic definition of insanity at work. If at first you don't succeed try the same thing again for a different result.

The government needs to be limited to how much they can use sanctions

This Biden announcement might be somewhat rhetorical. If nothing else, it gives the media something to do.

An awesome troll by Maria Zakhorova would be to announce major sanctions against the United States for the Trump fines - seeking to eliminate the leading figure of the political opposition.

My guess is that this is for the gullible and virtue signalers.

In my opinion, the Biden gang’s own actions reduce the legitimacy of sanctions, compared to sanctions Trump did.

You’re on the right track.

Same kind of thing as what dems are saying about immigration. “Our laws are not working. We need shiny new ones!”

Have we sanctioned Ukraine for jailing and killing Gonzalo Lira, the journalist and US citizen?

Let me guess. They are going to sanction Russia by demanding more money for the Ukraine Money Launderers Association.

The Biden regime has used all its sanctions levers already vis a vis Russia. They have nothing left they can sanction.
