As President, as the executive, Donald Trump plans to fire A LOT of executive employees.
So libs are working hard to make sure it's impossible for him to do so.
Yeah, we're at the stage where the "Deep State" deniers are writing stories explaining how the Deep State is working to protect itself.
A collection of activists, advocates and legal experts is promoting new federal rules to limit presidential power while urging Biden's White House to do more to protect his accomplishments and limit Trump in a possible second term. All of that is happening with far less fanfare than plans by Trump supporters to create a conservative government-in-waiting via an effort known as "Project 2025."
The Office of Personnel Management, the federal government's chief human resources agency, will finalize a rule by April against reclassifying tens of thousands of workers so they can be more easily fired, according to OPM spokesperson Viet Tran. A future administration would likely have to spend months or years unwinding the rule.

They are also busy inserting “poison pills” wherever they can, so not even Trump will be able to “fix” the problems.
If Congress established it under the executive branch I would imagine the President, who is in charge of the executive branch, is the one who could decide. Just close it, tell Treasury to stop pay checks and be done with it. There are some good and honest federal employees and I feel sorry for them, but the vast majority are not.
The Brunson case will get rid of most members of Congress.
Any rules the bureaucracy invents can be invented. If the rule is an act of Congress then Congress ulhas to undo it.
There are all sorts of things the President can do. Order the heat in buildings lowered to 50 degrees F in the winter and order air conditioning turned off in summer to save energy. Lol. Use the green agenda against them. Relocate agencies to Minot, North Dakota. And Alaska.
