Ahigh school student in California was arrested and is facing attempted murder charges in a plot to carry out a shooting on campus that was uncovered after a classmate expressed concerns the teen was “fixated on school shootings and had access to weapons,” police said.
Sebastian Villasenor, 18, was arrested Saturday and at his home investigators found seven rifles, two revolvers, a handgun and a shotgun, along with more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition, Ontario Police Chief Mike Lorenz said at a news conference Wednesday.
Villasenor had five intended victims – all students – and was considering a sixth, Lorenz said. The five intended victims were girls, according to a criminal complaint.

Not saying he should not be locked up and even tried but I don’t get the 5 attempted murder charges.

Attempted Criminal Threat? That’s a crime to think about threatening someone?
Reminds me of something that happened at my college. A couple years before I was there, a disgruntled student shot and killed a professor in a classroom.
A few years later, I had a class in that same room. Our professor screwed up the answer key on a scan-tron test and everyone failed the test. He dug his heels in about re-scoring them.
A student said “don’t forget what happened here the last time a Professor got a student mad at him.

Nothing happened to the student. The Dean of the department convinced the idiot professor to re-score his test and we all passed easily.
Perhaps he confessed? I just Listened to a 3 hour podcast about the Uvalde school shooting and the guy was a carbon copy of this guy. There are signs and better take precautions and check it out. You have no idea how many people the Uvalde shooter told about his intentions and nobody said anything.

That’s a concern for sure...... it does seem like these nuts leave a trail of clues.
But no one sees them till after the fact?
Better safe than sorry. I’m glad that they stopped a possible mass shooting before hand.
Gun control advocates are probably disappointed….
