It's terrible that historians have spent the better half of 40 years, 50 years, or more, removing every aspect of U.S. history that is a reminder of the goodness and decency of the people who created it.

In this instance, no doubt they chose the color red to signify blood - as in slavery. That's one of progressives' favorite cards to play.

No matter that much of their claims rely on fake history. They would have you believe that abolitionism only began in the 1820's or so with Garrison, when in reality abolitionism far pre-dates the U.S. itself.
