Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) wanted to talk about Ukraine and the need to stand up to Russian aggression before taking any questions from The Hill during a Wednesday interview.
The veteran Senate GOP leader, a day removed from what he saw as a significant victory in the Senate’s passage of aid to Ukraine and Israel, said showing resolve to deter foreign aggression is the “single biggest issue we’ve had in a long, long time.”
The Senate bill, approved Tuesday in a 70-29 vote, faces an uncertain future in the House after Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) issued a scathing statement hours before its passage.

Yertle thinks his years of corruption and selling us out the Chicoms through his wife are going to save his skin from the train headed straight for him.
Hey Mitch...
How’s about you ask the people that you represent how they want you to vote?
The fact that this pathetic RINO is the republican leader in the senate tells you how F-ed up the republican party is.
Get out ya old fool.
They must be COVID vaccine fans Mitch promoted the jabs with passion back in 2021.
I believe that Trump will negotiate a ceasefire once he is back in the White House.
The “SHill” sees Mitch as some kind of hero, but he’s really just a pathetic wimp.
The DungHill is pretending to back Turtle.
Notice how Mister McConnell evades talking about his own experience in (cough, cough) uniform?
It's on Wiki and other places, here's a summary excerpted from Wiki...
In March 1967, shortly before the expiration of his educational draft deferment upon graduation from law school, McConnell enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve as a private at Louisville, Kentucky...This was a coveted position because the Reserve units were mostly kept out of combat during the Vietnam War...His first day of training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, was July 9, 1967, two days after taking the bar exam, and his last day was August 15, 1967...Shortly after his arrival he was diagnosed with optic neuritis and deemed medically unfit for military service, and was honorably discharged...His brief time in service has repeatedly been put at issue by his political opponents during his electoral campaigns.
He flim-flammed out of active duty during the Vietnam War (a time when yours truly and many other fine Americans wore the uniform). Now, he invokes his father's (genuinely impressive) credentials to add gravitas to his statement, quietly omitting his own questionable service.
BINGO
How in the heck did a conservative state like Kentucky ever elect this guy, much less keep reelecting him???
Tax money to cripple an aggressive adversary without American lives at risk?
Good trade.
