Don't think this doesn't happen here in America. Just try demonstrating against homosexuality on the fringes of a "gay pride" event, like a preacher did in my city, and you'll find yourself at odds with the law. Preacher was arrested for "failing to comply" with an unlawful order that the protester move to another location far from the event.

More recently, a demonstrator was arrested while standing across the street from a "pride" even just holding a scripture verse sign.
