CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour said Monday on CNN’s “News Central” that she believed former President Donald Trump’s comments on NATO were “literally insane.”
At a rally, Trump said, “One of the presidents of a big country stood up and said, sir, if we don’t pay and we’re attacked by Russia, will you protect us? I said you didn’t pay, you’re delinquent? He said yes. Say that happened, no, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You have to pay. You have to pay your bills.”
Amanpour said, “People are aghast. I mean, they view that kind of invitation, encouragement, from the front runner of the United States for the Republican nomination to be, you know, literally insane. I mean, for a presidential candidate of the United States to say that kind of thing publicly while President Putin is having an interview in order to put down his lines of negotiation, which essentially are negotiation on his terms only over Ukraine. For the leading Republican candidate, who people must take at his word, nobody’s trying to guess what he’s saying. They’re taking him at his word. It’s caused a huge amount of anxiety, as you can imagine.”

Trump’s words, while harsh, must be stated when dealing with spoiled brats. It’s reality.
I was amazed when I read about the anti-war movement during WWI and WWII.
Wilson’s campaign slogan was “Keep us out of the War. FDR stated many times “No American boots on foreign soil.”
Both were second term Democrats.
Second term Democrats get us into war, Truman in Korea, Johnson in Vietnam...

Wilson’s campaign used the popular slogans “He kept us out of war” and “America First” to appeal to those voters who wanted to avoid a war in Europe or with Mexico.
Hughes criticized Wilson for not taking the “necessary preparations” to face a conflict.
“President Barack Obama is fond of publicly declaring that there will be “no boots on the ground” when commenting on the Syria, Iraq, and Islamic State crises. Key national security lieutenants in his administration have loyally followed suit.
Vice President Joe Biden has opined that the Islamic State, “can be routed by local forces without U.S. boots on the ground.” And Secretary of State John Kerry remarked at the NATO summit in Wales in regard to Iraq that “I think that’s a red line for everybody here: no boots on the ground.”

If most of you could only see how NATO “allied” upper ranks have been living on your dime all this time since the end of WWII…we’ve been paying for all that and basically their Socialist domestic programs.
