Sergey Antonov, the head of the Russian Committee-2024 association, has submitted a request to the Russian Investigative Committee demanding the prosecution of President Vladimir Putin for the rehabilitation of Nazism.
The request was prompted by an interview Putin gave to American journalist Tucker Carlson, in which the Russian leader commented on the events of World War II.
Antonov believes that Putin's statements represent "a denial of facts established by the judgment of the International Military Tribunal for the trial and punishment of the major war criminals of the European Axis countries, and an approval of crimes stated in said judgment."
While acknowledging that the law on the rehabilitation of Nazism is often used for politically motivated purposes, Antonov insists that the Russia President's words fall within the provision's definition. Additionally, he claims that Putin committed this crime "with aggravating circumstances," disseminating information "by using his official position" and through media outlets. Antonov's petition has been registered and is awaiting a response from the Russian Investigative Committee.
In the interview in question, Putin reportedly said that the Poles "got in over their heads and pushed Hitler to start World War II with them" as they were "intransigent."
"Hitler had no choice in carrying out his plans but to start with Poland," Putin said, apparently justifying Adolf Hitler's aggression.
Poland has reacted to Putin's statement. Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski called Putin a dictator and a paranoid, noting that this is not the first time Russia has accused Poland of starting the Second World War. Warsaw is shocked that these narratives were propagated by the American journalist Tucker Carlson.
Gotta go after Putin now that he was allowed to tell his side of the story pointing out that Russia’s enemies starting with the Austro-Hungarian Empire and continuing through Nazi Germany nurtured the notion of Ukrainian nationalism.
The idiot must be jonesing for Siberia. What a lame, nonsensical legal argument.
Oh, come on: Claiming Poland was responsible for starting WWII is lunacy. But, it’s telling that Putin has gone to Hitler’s playbook for some of his own adventures.
Putin was foolish to try to whitewash the Soviet era. He should have ignored it or explained that the Russian people suffered even more than the Poles under communism. It also gave those trying to deflect viewership of the interview an example of a laughable lie Putin told. The post 1991 part of the interview was incredibly enlightening. The Russians tried very earnestly to join the family of western nations. The representatives of the all powerful MIC in DC simply refused to allow worldwide peace to break out like that and deny them their trillions in coming profits.
Carson didn’t propagate these claims. He just had a microphone and a camera. Putin introduced the claims and if I recall Tucker pushed back on it. Putins claim is an absurd “Germany had no choice but invade Poland because Poland refused to surrender its land to Germany voluntarily”. It’s ridiculous.
I do not see any mention of a Russian Committee 2024 party in the Duma and this Antonov name is not listed among the several candidates for the presidency in March.
This is from the relevant Wikis. There is no indication this Antonov person actually exists as anyone Russians have heard of — unlike the many candidates enraged by Putin’s approach in Ukraine being far too moderate.
Well, it’s official: Putin is a Nazi!
Then post it you lying POS!
From the transcript:
“Hitler had no choice in carrying out his plans but to start with Poland,” Putin said, apparently justifying Adolf Hitler’s aggression.
I heard it with my own ears.
Here:
According to a verified translation of Putin’s remarks during the Carlson interview, the Russian president claimed that Poland “forced” Hitler to invade by being “uncooperative” with Nazi demands to take territories including Polish city Gdańsk, then known as Danzig.
“[Poland] rejected Hitler’s demands,” Putin said. “Since [Poland] did not give up the Danzig corridor, the Poles nevertheless forced him. They got carried away and forced Hitler to start the Second World War against them first.”
“Why did the war start on September 1, 1939 precisely against Poland?” he continued. “Because it turned out to be uncooperative. Hitler had no choice but to implement his plans, starting specifically with Poland.”

Yeah, it is, Sparky.
He said that Poland provoked Hitler into invading it in 1939. And it’s not the first time he’s said it. For instance, he made similar comments back in 2019.
And, it’s interesting that Putin was rather silent about the Soviet Union’s invasion of Poland in 1939, as well. Remember, the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany were allies in the invasion of Poland. Of course Putin is going to blame Poland.
Putin has the same view of Life as a Criminal Home-Invader
he has the same attitude - Poland or Ukraine
“You didn’t give your house like I politely demanded, so now I am forced to attack and invade”
Print the whole section, you are taking this out of context. No surprise really, that’s what you Ukrainian freaks have been doing all along. He didn’t justify anything, in fact Russia took the brunt of WWII. I am so sick of you lying POS
see post #17
All you have is lies. Putin said They had historical connections to the lands and population. And Ukraine was executing a political genocide on a Russian population, Putin stepped in to stop it. You and your nazi freinds are the ones responsible for the death and destruction.
