Grassley is the politician Trey Gowdy and Jim “Trey” Jordan have mirrored their positions to resemble. All of them need replacing.

You could also argue the adoption and perfecting of the intermediate cartridge assault rifle. And reorganizing squad level combat units.

But the basic point is still that the US military learned a lot and improved in many ways as a result of the Vietnam War.

Yup

As much of “what not to do” as “what to do”

Kennedy talks a great game, but he votes like Ted.

“What you don’t understand; the more you work something the stronger it gets its like working-out; Russia’s military is way stronger now than when the Ukraine war started.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well... what most people are seeing is a display of Russia’s absolute failure.

Russia is 30 times bigger than Ukraine. And after 2 years of pouding Ukraine, Russia had to retreat quite a lot... As you know Ukraine recaptured 50% of what Russia had originally taken. It’s truly mind-blowing. In the Process Russia has lost +5000 tanks 380.000 soldiers, has lost the naval Black Sea battle.

And when you said that “the more you work something the stronger it gets its like working-out; Russia’s military is way stronger”... Well the same goes for Ukraine!
Ukraine’s army in now considered as one of the worlds best, smartest, and strongest.
And the same goes for NATO countries, they have nearly all revamped their gear and strategy. NATO will now start a gigantic war game not seen since the cold war era.
NAto has been revitalized! While Russia is depleting it self to death... Proof? Yes, 40% of its entire national budget is now oriented towards war against Ukraine! Do you understand the BURDEN that represents for the russian taxpayer? It’s massive, and they will not be able to economically survive such pressure much longer.

The foreign aid bill is intended to help our allies Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine to resist the Communists in China, to resist the Islamic Hamas attacking Israel, to resist the NeoSoviets attacking our allies in Europe.

About 90% of that aid stays in America and goes to the American industry and the American worker.

Opposing that bill is an act of Hanoï-Jane madness.
Are we siding with our allies? Or are we siding with the Russia-Hamas-Iran alliance composed of Communists, NeoSoviets and radical Islamists who are right now fomenting against America in ways never seen before?

Some here on FR (a minority) need to wake up, urgently.
On WHO’s side are you on?? WHy are you abandoning our traditional allies? Even Israel!! For God’s Sake!

Im happy Ronald Reagan isn’t alive anymore. He would die of sorrow seeing that a number of republicans have turned into naive pacifist Chamberlain-style sitting ducks - afraid of their own shadow.

Neo Sovietism and communism is NOT an option.

We’re 35 trillion dollars in debt

The problem is that we’re ignoring our border. Our President refuse to act on the border. If we withhold aid to Ukraine, maybe he’ll be motivated enough to do something about the border.

“We’re 35 trillion dollars in debt”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yes I know, and it hurts.
But there is a level of sacrifices that simply cannot be accepted.

If we let our closest allies down, letting them be invaded by our absolute worst enemies... at that point the price to pay for America will not be 90 Billion.... it will be trillions!

If China hijacks the semiconductor production in Taiwan, preventing america’s industry to have access to that, our whole industry would collapse. It would be the end of our economy as we know it.

Defending our allies is defending our economy.

“How much is France ponying up?”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Every EU countries (including France) is “paying up” via the EU.

Ukraine Support Tracker: Europe clearly overtakes US, with total commitments now TWICE as large.

https://www.ifw-kiel.de/publications/news/ukraine-support-tracker-europe-clearly-overtakes-us-with-total-commitments-now-twice-as-large/

At the moment, only Europe seems to be the one defending Christian values, by resisting Neo-Sovietism and russia’s exacerbated imperialistic behavior.
Europe is the one paying now, protecting America’s future in the process. And yes, Europe does that, DESPITE having a lot of debt, just like America.

So there goes the narrative that America is the sole payer...

Fighting with conscripts, not to mention prisoners offered inducement of release if they survive 6 months. I’ve seen reports that these released combat survivors are considered by other Russians as rather undesirable in their neighborhoods.

It amazes how a state that is supposed to be a conservative state keeps voting in liberal RINOs to the senate. He’s definitely getting an ear full from me.

Lee Hamilton is another one Indiana voted for many years. At least Hamilton calls himself a Democrat.
