DNC Accuses RFK Jr. Of Illegal Effort To Get On State Ballots For 2024 Run Against Biden
Forbes via MSN ^ | February 9, 2024 | Cailey Gleeson

The Democratic National Committee on Friday accused independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and a supportive super PAC of violating election laws by working to get him on the ballot in multiple states—taking aim at a longshot 2024 candidate who could threaten President Joe Biden’s reelection bid.

In a Federal Election Commission complaint, the DNC alleges the PAC—called American Values 2024—is illegally coordinating with Kennedy Jr.’s campaign, with Bob Lenhard, legal counsel for the DNC, telling NBC and other outlets the campaign is "in the process of accepting a $15 million unlawful in-kind contribution," referring to the $10 million to $15 million that American Values 2024 has promised to spend on ballot access.

In order to get listed on general election ballots as an independent candidate, Kennedy Jr. and his supporters will need to gather thousands of signatures—a grueling state-by-state effort American Values 2024 has publicly offered to assist with...

In a statement emailed to Forbes, American Values 2024 Co-Chairman Tony Lyons said the super-PAC has been “working independently” from Kennedy Jr.’s campaign “in accordance with FEC precedent” to get him on the ballot, calling the complaint another “desperate DNC tactic to defame Kennedy, vilify him and drain his campaign funds.”

The DNC is trying desperately to uphold the values of "our precious democracy", so the best thing to do is to make sure the one and only candidate we can vote for is the Democrat nominee, whomever they decide to shoe in at their convention.

The last thing the democrats seem to want is another democrat to challenge Herr Bribey. Gee, I wonder why?

Bingo. That’s why they are so desperate to stop kennedy. They know their votes may vote for a kennedy before a hand picked nominee.

Anyone with a "(D)" after the name.

So they want Trump AND Rfk Jr off the ballot? I hope they push this hard and the public sees how these people are without the glare of Trump hatred blinding their sight.

This could be a Tom Sawyer, Lucy Van Pelt play where they Reeeeeealy woukd like to have an “independent” who talks like Trump, votes like Bernie Sanders and goes along with the “furious” DNC pearl-clutchers.

Ross Perot 2024 (or John Anderson, Ralph Nader, etc.)

Because only RATS are allowed to violate election laws.

Now, with the age issue in play and every Dem congresscritter viewing Biden as a decrepit albatross in their reelection campaigns, I would think Kennedy would want to enter the next primaries against Biden and build a groundswell. And if he has the funding for the next 2 states, it would be crazy not to. I really don’t think the DNC is as opposed as the article makes it out to be

“DNC Accuses RFK Jr. Of Illegal Effort To Get On State Ballots For 2024 Run Against Biden.” After I stopped laughing at the very thought of “DNC Accuses ... of Illegal Effort” being headline news, it occurred to me that leftists have no concept of irony, no sense of humor, and no ability to self-examine. Case in point: Joe Biden is his recent, addled midnight rant warns us that Trump is an authoritarian and dangerous to ‘Our Democracy TM’, even as his party is trying to throw Trump off the ballot in several states and keep RFK Jr. from being on the ballot at all.

I bet the DNC would do nothing if Haley planned a similar route. Sadly, neither would the RNC.

Ridonkulous lawfare. Fortunately campaign financing is a free-for-all more than it ever was.

That said, still fascinated why RFKjr doesn't take the reins of the LP and frankly, just transmogrify it to his needs. Could change the name, platform, motto; and LP has qualified for 50-state placement from 2016 forward.

I think the DNC may make nice with RFK and replace Joe Biden with him and he will run with Kamala as his VP.

Looks like Joe is almost out the door. He will be dismissed soon and with him the Obama Cabal. Anything can, and will, happen.
