WASHINGTON — President Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials,” special counsel Robert Hur found in a bombshell report released Thursday — though Hur recommended against criminal charges, in part because a jury might view Biden as an “elderly man with a poor memory.”
Biden, 81, flouted legal restrictions on keeping sensitive documents throughout his 36 years in the Senate and eight years as vice president — stashing them in cardboard boxes in his garage in Wilmington, Del., and other locations, the 388-page report said, with photos showing Biden’s storage practices.
Investigators even uncovered a recording of Biden confiding in his ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer in April 2017, three months after leaving the vice presidency, that he still had official records because “I didn’t want to turn them in” — sounding similar to former President Donald Trump, who faces 40 criminal charges and up to 450 years in prison for resisting handing over documents after leaving the White House in 2021.
Zwonitzer also told Hur’s investigators that he deleted some audio files of Biden after the special counsel investigation began — and was aware of the probe when he did so.
“I’m not going to say how much of the percentage it was of my motivation,” the writer said, according to the report.
‘Elderly man with a poor memory’ Material mishandled by Biden involved the nation’s most guarded secrets, the report said, with authorities finding “information in [recovered] notebooks [that] remains classified up to the Top Secret level and includes Sensitive Compartmented Information, including from compartments used to protect information concerning human intelligence sources.”
But, perhaps most damaging for the president, Hur — a former Maryland US attorney — suggested that jurors would not hold Biden liable for his actions on account of his perceived mental decline, even though he is

I guess I don’t understand dementia. Sometimes he comes across as completely befuddled. And other times he sounds like he’s following events closely. I get the impression that after he’s spent some 50 years in DC perfecting his grift, he’s an Academy Award-level actor.

The new 'standard' for justice is if the person is a bumbling old person who's likable (based on being a democrat) there's no reason for a trial. Just let him walk...Stalin and Hitler had similar 'standards' - based on how likable the person was to the thugs and goons in charge.

Joe is “too old with a poor memory” is the Comey gambit. Sloppy Hillary didn’t “intend” to violate the Espionage Act. No reasonable DA would prosecute her. In both cases, the investigators had no right to decline recommending charges. Meanwhile Trump is persecuted by mad dog Smith. Disgusting.
So when is he being indicted?
He's sure lucky he was ghost writing for Biden, and not Trump. He'd have found out what it was like to be dragged out of bed at gunpoint at 3am, and what prison life is all about. Hilary's people got the same deference when they destroyed evidence.
It seems some of the records Biden wanted to keep concerned efforts he made in 2009 to reduce military funding for Afghanistan. If Trump makes too much of an issue on how they should be treated the same, Biden can point out that he was at least 6 years ahead of Trump in wanting less funding in Afghanistan’s war.
I look at the number of boxes in Biden’s garage, and the number of boxes shown in Trump’s residence bathroom and other places, and compared the relative number of years each has been in office. It appears Trump has at least 10 times the collection rate Biden has, maybe more.
He stole them while he was a senator and the vp clearly illegal but still ok

Hur (the prosecutor) needs to be asked what was Biden’s mental state WHEN HE (Biden) MADE OFF WITH THE DOCUMENTS?

@ Hur, what if Biden exaggerated his symptoms while you were interviewing him because he knows he is guilty, Einstein? He wasn’t a dotard when he did the crimes.
There have been numerous cases of former Nazi officials who had resided under changed names the U.S. after the Holocaust, and who have been prosecuted, jailed or deported in the late age of their 80s or even 90s. Then again, they’re not Obama’s prexy beard.
Well who is worse, him, Willie Brown’s mistress while still living with his wife, or Hillary? None are a good choice for America. Go Trump!!
