Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel will reportedly leave the post at the end of this month.
The New York Times reported Tuesday evening that Ms. McDaniel had told former President Donald Trump that she will leave shortly after the Feb. 24 South Carolina presidential primary.
The Times cited “two people familiar with the plans.”
According to the Times. Ms. McDaniel will be replaced by Michael Whatley, chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, at Mr. Trump’s behest.

She might have been replaced because the Lion is still King.
Failure is not tolerated by GOPevil.
Trump supported her at the time knowing that his choice would never pass muster (due to the GOP being stacked with her supporters) and that the time would come when he would finally have the power to get the chairman he wanted.
Well, the time has come.
Can we send flowers? I heard it’s in their budget.
Don’t let the new GOP Speaker hear you say that.
He will be furious. Schumer has been baiting him with such remarks.
Well, we now know what their Monday meeting at Mar-a-Lago was all about...
We wasted valuable time with Rona where we failed to fund raise or prepare our voter harvesting
While their elected people have generally sucked, it is odd that Trump gets to say who the leader of the GOP is.
How many GOP members are going to be pissed about this and what will they do about it? Boycott? Sabotage 2024?
That is of course if this news is truthful.

Party rules require an actual election of a new chair, but Mr. Trump’s hold on the party is so strong that his endorsement would make his choice an inevitability, the Times wrote.
Why is the Times referring to itself in the third person?
The fix was in however. Trump never would have gotten his pick in last year.
“While their elected people have generally sucked, it is odd that Trump gets to say who the leader of the GOP is.”
Once Trump is the nominee, he is head of the party. That’s how it’s generally been. He will be the standard bearer (in the real sense of the term) and will have significant sway in that position.
Just.. Damn!
Not sure how this arrangement came to pass, but it’s very welcome and about time.

Hopefully his choices will be better now that he knows how deep the swamp is.
Bout time; now push out McConnell.
I don’t buy it. Get Rona out and fight for someone better. She was so bad - any change would have been an improvement
She’s out now.
Make sure to pull her RNC credit card in case there’s any “last minute” spending...
I heard she is signing on with the DNC and with a part time gig on CNN
