Yes. But not entirely unheard of. My mother had the same surgery and at a similar age.

As far as we know, Kate did NOT have a hysterectomy; that was just some stupid, on line rumor that someone, WHO KNOWS NOTHING, started!

There has been NO factual "news" re what she actually had done, nor why...to date.
