The 16th Amendment to the US Constitution fundamentally altered the relationship of We the People to the federal government.
Prior to the 16th, the people were the master and the government was the slave.
Post 16th, the government was (and still is!) the master and We the People are slaves.
When we replace the Marxist inspired “progressive” income tax with the FAIRtax and abolish the IRS, We the People will be the master again!
It is about FReedom!
And the equally self-destructive 17th Amendment.
