Installing razor wire along the U.S.-Mexico border has led to a “massive reduction” of illegal immigrants crossing into the United States, according to state governor Greg Abbott, who said he has widespread support for the defensive measure.
“More than half of the governors are now joined together in support of a very important proposition. And that is, we are guaranteed by the United States Constitution the right of self-defense if states face imminent harm or invasion,” Gov. Abbott said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday.

They cross there too but it’s less than 200 mile stretch and most of it has a border wall.
Just think how much better it would be with machine gun towers every 1/4 mile
Half a century ago, I’d ride my motorcycle out of El Paso and into NM along the border. Back then the border was marked with an ordinary four-wire barbed wire fence with a border obelisk every mile. But then we weren’t telling the world that they were all free to come in.
On another note, in Costa Rica (and likely other Latin American countries) razor wire results in a massive reduction of home burglaries and break ins.
NM only has 2 minor border crossings with Mexico. While illegals don’t use border crossings, they do use the roads in Mexico that lead to the border crossings to get close to the border. They generally do not in large numbers trudge across the uninhabited desert on either side of the border. This means that even a modest extension of the border wall around the major border crossings would stop the majority of the illegals.
Gee, just think how well anti-personnel land mines would work! The great thing about them is that you only need to believe that they are planted out there.
What we love to hear,
Abbott sounds just like a potential president.
flying lead would drastically cut back on it too.
Electrification would make the good walls and razor wire even more effective.
If true, they just went a little further west, where the governors of NM, AZ and CA welcome them with open arms and open taxpayers wallets.
And a moat with sharks with lasers attached to their heads.
