That is FReeper “tongue-tied.” He served in the Navy. I met him in Baghdad when I was working in the Green Zone and he came from Victory Base Camp (where I also worked a couple of times) on his three-day pass.
He passed away a few years later. It was sudden - and this was well before the Covid fiasco. He was a great guy - warm, caring and had a stellar sense of humor. About a year or so after that picture was taken, he was sent to Ukraine on a training mission and I know he’d have some interesting things to say about Biden and this current mess.

Your problem is that you have such a hatred of Russia that you don't care to even understand the Russian POV.
Funny, that's almost word for word what some Russian snowflake on another site said to me before blocking me. Living in a country where dissenters defenestrate themselves after shooting themselves in the back of the head will do that to you.
Not everyone in FR is an idiot. There are substantial people posting here. And this includes ex fighter pilots and ex artillery officers, to (not) name a few on the matter of the Ukraine war, ex professionals in the energy industry, etc.
There is, however, a subculture of what are best called the emotionally motivated. Let us say that they are not the sort with whom one can have a rational, informed discussion. And, sadly, this is because that sort of person is simply too lazy to learn anything. Its that whole “one can lead a horse to water...” thing, normally seen among children and teens, the bane of good teachers everywhere, but here it is manifest among 50-80 year old men. A very shameful business.
Mensa has never appealed to me. What I have seen of it seemed to run heavily to people inclined simply to exist, and not to do.

The reason why UMCRevMom and others post multiple articles per thread is because of the abuse they get. Abuse which is far more directly personal than I've ever seen here before.

Their logic that spamming the “spam” is okay kinda of makes me chuckle.
The energy spent by the multitude letting us know their “displeasure “ and how annoyed they are, yet often they are the first to make comments. Almost like they are waiting, refreshing constantly, looking for the post to drop so they can “release”
