According to you, FReepers don’t possess the intellectual capabilities to “cross swords” with the “Superior Foreigner”.
One would think that a genius like you would crave mental challenges and post in the Mensa International forums or other similar forums.
Or perhaps our stupidity bolsters your feelings of superiority.
Not everyone in FR is an idiot. There are substantial people posting here. And this includes ex fighter pilots and ex artillery officers, to (not) name a few on the matter of the Ukraine war, ex professionals in the energy industry, etc.
There is, however, a subculture of what are best called the emotionally motivated. Let us say that they are not the sort with whom one can have a rational, informed discussion. And, sadly, this is because that sort of person is simply too lazy to learn anything. Its that whole “one can lead a horse to water...” thing, normally seen among children and teens, the bane of good teachers everywhere, but here it is manifest among 50-80 year old men. A very shameful business.
Mensa has never appealed to me. What I have seen of it seemed to run heavily to people inclined simply to exist, and not to do.
