Why Russia is So Desperate to Capture Avdiivka
Youtube.com ^ | 2-5-2024 | The Icarus Project@UNITED24media

Russian forces are pushing hard to take the Ukrainian stronghold of Avdiivka. But why?

In this video, we do a deep analysis on Russia's staggering losses, including infantry, tanks, and heavy equipment. We talk about why Russia wants the city so badly, what Vladimir Putin's stake in it is, and how it all connects back to Russia's invasion of Crimea and the War in the Donbas.

Please Putin make it stop, to be one of the first to post replies seems contrary to your claim, just scroll past and you will not be “effected”

Russia wants?, Russia “wants” Alaska back, cool right?

Since when does what Russia “wants” matter one wit?

And their action speak of far greater “wants”, guess that is cool

Interesting. Today's post headlines the Icarus Project.

Note the inclusion of "Special thanks to @UNITED24media." Thus this Utah-based content creator is obtaining content from the Ukraine YouTube channel, though that link points to a video about a month old already, specifically Dec 22, 2023.

Of the Icarus Project, one learns more:

www.youtube.com/@icarusproject joined, 20 September 2022

. About

This includes information that Icarus runs its "Merch Shop" as so many of these "Ukraine-Russia" war YouTube channels. The individual, it is said by him, " Responsible for the content of this online shop is:
Warburg Group LLC
Authorized Representative: Paul Warburg
Kearns, UT
United States

WARBURG VENTURES LLC Warburg Ventures LLC (Utah)

Additionally he seems associated with a church -- 166 E 10600 S, Sandy, UT 84070

If the same individual, the about also says of this "elder," "In his free time, Paul enjoys reading about theology and economics, creating YouTube videos...."

As to merchandising:

Source:Info about The Icarus Project

A banner atop the Icarus Project" page offers "Open your own merch shop today. Always Free."

And one learns,"This online t-shirt shop operates from a platform provided by Spreadshirt. Spreadshirt is responsible for the technical functions of this shop and order processing. An order from a Spreadshirt shop creates a contract for order production and delivery with Spreadshirt Inc. - not the Shop operator. All terms and conditions of Spreadshirt Inc. apply to use of the shop for these purposes and to those orders.

Spreadshirt, Inc.
231 South Main Street Suite 412
Greensburg, PA 15601

As another of the Spreadshirt pages states, "Are you creative? Monetize your talents!"

But the Patreon page tells " 23 paid members 3 posts $122.1/month." So not a lot of paid members as yet.

Another source for Icarus info: The Icarus Project@icarusproject

Source: The Icarus Project - Casual geopolitics with a touch of humour.

The headline -- Icarus Project -- made for a thread in which, again, Reporting from NOT Ukraine was inserted as comment #2 to the original post.

For details on the merchandised, monetized Reporting from NOT Ukraine but rather the United States (with administrative support from China), the details are here: Support me, so say they all

So many YouTube channels, complete with merchandising through royalty-paying second companies operating in the United States, want in on the action.

It will be most interesting to observe how these various "Ukraine-Russia" channels will do when that war ends, as all wars do. Some church elder who likes making videos, some University of Alabama student who runs his "army" of donors, and more will probably be sad. After all we learned that some years back when several of the YouTubers gathered together to bemoan YouTube monetization issues affecting their livelihoods.

Enjoy.

personnel - about 388,750 (+810) people

The United States lost 291,557 in World War II, and people believe that Russia has lost 1/3 more than that? Seriously?

Some of the equipment losses appear to be greater than the entire available Russian equipment in that category.

This is nothing compared to the russian propagandists.

Propaganda on both sides is annoying, but I see *far more* Ukraine-centered propaganda on FR than I do Russian propaganda.

Both counties are corrupt hellholes and I don’t want my tax dollars going to a known money-laundering operation.

And these daily propaganda threads with additional long-winded propaganda dreck being added to them excessively pollute the Latest Post feeds every day.

Because if someone nasty gets hold of Europe, the first thing they will do is turn it into an arsenal against you. Why? Because being the biggest dog you will be an implicit threat to them. Nothing personal, that’s just how power works.

Europe has the skills, tech, and infrastructure to be the most important single source of military-tech competition vs the US.

The US WWII KIA numbers (military and civilian) are estimated to be 420,000, a bit more than 291,557.

In WWI the US had significant numbers in combat for just four months -July-November 1918.

Russia isn’t engaged in a civilian involved conflict on their side, thus why I only listed military deaths. Point stands. You’re saying, for Russia, it’s been as costly as WWII was for the US. Simply isn’t true. We do and have continued to do business in Russian and they have not experienced these losses.

Russia has been pulling equipment out of its stockpiles and this is visible in satellite analysis. The guy doing that has just done the same for artillery parks. Russia has obviously been replacing its losses.

These stockpiles are much larger than the units officially in service with the regular Army in Feb 2022.

You sound like those WEF characters that want to limit info sources to official or sanctioned sources. I would once have assumed that critters like this were not typical of FR.

What a truly silly remark.

My comment this day detailed the channel and associated 'merch' store, their places of businesses and so on.

This is NOT limiting info sources, in any way. It is the inverse, expanding the info about info sources.

Your point is that they are illegitimate because they try to generate income. Which every other news source does too, if only by collecting subsidies from their state owners.

Which is an obvious implicit preference for these state or sanctioned sources.

The pro russian stuff is more than 5 or 10 to 1, here on FR.

The war never should have happened.

Meddling in Ukraine's internal politics, by both the US and Russia, broken promises, under the Budapest Memorandum, by the US and Russia and weakness, shown by obama and biden guaranteed this would happen.

If we hadn't signed the Budapest Memorandum I would say it's Europe's problem, but we did.

I'm far more worried about our own invasion which is costing us exponentially more.

Yeah, they're both corrupt and then look at the federal gov't under xiden.

My documented point is that the Icarus Project is rooted in Utah. And it sells its very limited merchandise through a company in Pennsylvania. The related point is that RFU is rooted in the US, and sells its very limited and very similar merchandise though a company with support in Hong Kong.

Information. More information than was previously provided.

Go buy a t-shirt.

Not on the FR I look at every day. Not by a long shot.

The war never should have happened. Meddling in Ukraine's internal politics, by both the US and Russia, broken promises, under the Budapest Memorandum, by the US and Russia and weakness, shown by obama and biden guaranteed this would happen.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I'm far more worried about our own invasion which is costing us exponentially more.

As am I.

Yeah, they're both corrupt and then look at the federal gov't under xiden.

Again, I agree.

It is long past time for a negotiation settlement. The money-hemorrhaging on this thing needs to stop.
